About Rise
Rise, formerly the Women’s Refuge Project, was founded in 1994 and is
an independent, registered charity providing services for women,
children and young people affected by domestic abuse, in West Sussex,
Brighton & Hove.
Rise stands for refuge, information, support and education.
We deliver our specialist services in partnership with statutory,
voluntary and community organisations.
Every year we support over 800 women and their families to recover and reclaim their lives.
Rise Services
Crisis and Support Service
The crisis support service provides the helpline, crisis intervention, residential refuge and the independent domestic violence advisory service.
Community and Therapeutic Support
Ongoing one-to-one support, group work programmes and counselling for women and families living in the community or who have spent a period of time living in a refuge and are re-settling.
Children and Young People's Service
Support for children, young people and families in one-to-ones, as a family or in groups. Some services for parents / carers are for women only and we have groups just for young people.
Training and Consultancy
The training and consultancy service offers bespoke corporate packages in domestic abuse awareness training.
