The 16 Days of Activism Against Gendered Violence is a UN initiative to galvanise action around ending violence against women and girls - worldwide. It's at the heart of what we do at RISE, and we have a full calendar of activities starting on November the 25th.

We're delighted to have activities everyone can get involved in this year to help RISE keep its vital support services going, for families affected by domestic abuse.

Our program of events so far includes:

25th November: Launching our partnership with Freedom Leisure

26th November: Henny Beaumont’s ‘Communities Rising’ Artwork premier

27th November: Final performance of Janette Eddisford’s production of Lucy Kirkwood’s play Maryland at The Lantern Theatre in association with the Royal Court Theatre (all proceeds are being donated to RISE!). This play does have an emotive content warning.

28th November: The Pension Regulators 16k walk for RISE

29th November to 7th December: Education and Engagement with RISE services and opportunities to become involved in volunteering or fundraising, becoming an ambassador, or how to raise awareness or become a community researcher

8th December: Wellbeing Day with online Yoga 11:00-12:00, an online Neal's Yard wellness session 13:00-14:00, and Drop-In Sessions

9th December: LGBTQ+ and Intersectionality Focus

10th December: Call to Action with our CEO Jo Gough, and highlights from our activities and online sessions
