Workshops and Online Courses

We're hard at work organising a series of workshops for those who have experienced or are currently experiencing abuse, as well as creating online courses on our RISE Learning platform covering a variety of subjects relevant to the work we do.

You can get in contact with us at [email protected] to get more info and sign up.

Our coffee mornings with workshops are friendly and informal, and as well as providing valuable tools and advice, they allow you to meet and connect with other people who understand what you're going through.

The door opens at 10am for you to prepare a drink and have a chat. The workshop is from 10.30 - 12.00, delivered by different specialists from RISE each time, with information and time for attendees to ask questions. The space is not designed to address individual cases, but participants will be signposted to the relevant RISE services or other organisations that can support them.

There will be time after the workshop for participants to make connections and talk amongst themselves.

Domestic Abuse: Essential Knowledge online course

Do you want to know more about domestic abuse - how it works, how to identify it, how it affects you and perhaps your children? We've put together a short online course that covers just that. It can also help you to work out if what you are experiencing actually is abuse.

It's designed for you to work through on your own, in your own time, and takes about 1.5 to 3 hours to complete. We advise taking your time with it, to digest and understand whilst paying mind to your self-care.
