Parenting and child contact

A half-day workshop around parenting and the impact of domestic violence and abuse on child contact. The workshop will include looking at how to manage child contact, keeping yourself and your family safe as well as personal safety skills that can be used by children and young people .

Housing and finance workshop

This workshop is for anyone who would like advice and information about housing including moving home and housing options. We will also talk through the 'Sanctuary Scheme' to help people experiencing domestic abuse remain safely in their homes by improving security in the property. The workshop also includes where to go for financial support particularly around debt advice, money management and financial abuse.

Parenting, resilience and the impact of domestic abuse on children

This workshop is for parents or main care givers who have been affected by issues around domestic violence and abuse. This includes all GBT families.

Family court workshop

This workshop covers issues within family and civil court, how to advocate within family court, the roles of legal representatives including Mckenzie Friends (people who can accompany you to court). The workshop includes civil orders including non-molestation orders, Domestic Violence Protection Orders (DVPO) and Domestic Violence Protection Notices(DVPN). It also covers self-representation in court and the various court stages.
