Domestic Abuse: Essential Knowledge online course

Do you want to know more about domestic abuse - how it works, how to identify it, how it affects you and perhaps your children? We've put together a short online course that covers just that. It can also help you to work out if what you are experiencing actually is abuse.

It's designed for you to work through on your own, in your own time, and takes about 1.5 to 3 hours to complete. We advise taking your time with it, to digest and understand whilst paying mind to your self-care.

Connecting With & Helping Your Child After Trauma

You are the best person to help your child but sometimes it feels difficult to know what to do for the best or the best things to say. Being open to your child’s worries and fears will give them the greatest chance to recover by helping them make sense of their experiences and feelings that will help them become more resilient. This online advice is designed to give some tools to help you help your child.

Ask Me Ambassador Training

Ask Me is a free course for anyone who wants to help create a world where abuse is no longer tolerated and to ensure that survivors get the support they deserve. It has been running across the UK for several years and to date, RISE has trained over 80 Ask Me Ambassadors from the Brighton and Hove area. During the Ask Me training we will work together to create a safe and supportive space where you can learn how to break the silence and raise awareness about domestic abuse and how to help provide a supportive response to survivors in your communities.

You can find more info and dates here.
