8K Undercliff Run for Women Volunteer

The RISE 8K Undercliff Run for Women is a scenic run along the seafront, alongside Sussex’s famous chalk cliffs, from Saltdean towards Brighton and back. The run is one of RISE’s main fundraising events raising money to help people affected by domestic abuse in Brighton & Hove.

8K Undercliff Run for Women Volunteer

Department: Fundraising and Communications

Place of volunteering: Saltdean Undercliff

Reporting to: 8K Project Manager

Roles on the day include marshalling the route, helping set up and take down the event infrastructure, setting up, supervising medals and water, helping staff the RISE marquee, water stations helpers, tail walker, lead cyclist and start/finish line assistance, plus a couple of supervisory roles. Some of you will be alone in your positions along the route and you are acting as our eyes and ears whilst the event takes place.

The event takes place on Sunday 16th October 2022 and we will need most of our volunteers for approximately 5 - 6 hrs. You will be asked to state your preferred times.

*Please note* we welcome all volunteers but will be unable to accept anyone under the age of 13yrs (on date of event) and anyone under the age of 15yrs we ask for a 'parents consent' email.
