Be part of the RISE family and donate your time and skills. Last year volunteers from all walks to life donated 3,899 hours of their energy and expertise. This translates into two full time workers helping local survivors of domestic abuse.

Whether you give your time regularly, or from time to time, you’re welcome to join our amazing team of volunteers doing good and having fun!

There are plenty of other ways you can volunteer with RISE. For example:

At our office

From office admin to working on the RISE helpline, there are opportunities and time commitments to suit everyone.

At an event

Be a water station volunteer at the Grand Brighton Half Marathon, a bucket collector at a comedy event. We have something for everyone – a good time is guaranteed!

As a survivor

You are expert by experience and your story and voice are important. Join our RISE Voice Group and help inform the direction of RISE and our service development. Write a quote for our website, tell your story to help other survivors, or speak at fundraising events to help raise awareness of our work.

As a campaigner

Help us spread the word that domestic abuse is everyone’s business. Do you have skill in social media or campaigning? We’d love to hear from you.

As a professional

Do you have specialist skills? If you are looking to donate your time regularly or as a one-off project, please do get in touch to see if this is something we can explore.

If you have a skill you think might be of use please do get in touch on [email protected].
