Freelance opportunity: Outdoor Challenge Event Project Manager for RISE 8k Run for Women Fundraiser (*Female)

RISE is seeking an experienced outdoor challenge event freelancer to project manage our iconic 8K Run for Women in Brighton in our 30th year.

RISE is an independent, Brighton-based registered charity that helps people affected by domestic and sexual abuse. We offer practical help ranging from direct advice to refuge accommodation for those whose lives are at risk.

As part of our commitment to ‘Freedom from Abuse & Violence’ our all-female running event brings women and girls together in a beautiful coastal run from Saltdean to the Marina to raise much needed funds for a highly regarded local charity.

About You:

  • Proven experience managing outdoor events from conception to execution.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Experience working with volunteers, staff and stakeholders.
  • Enthusiasm for running events and promoting health & wellness (Brighton & Hove run events a plus).
  • Experience of high target charity fundraising.

What you will do:

  • Oversee all aspects of event planning and logistics.
  • Manage budgets and timelines.
  • Coordinate with staff, volunteers, vendors, sponsors, and participants.
  • Ensure a smooth and successful race day experience.
